Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performance transceivers and couplers for vehicular powerlines, working closely with a Research Engineer.
- Characterize conducted and radiative interference generated by PLC signal transmissions to evaluate their impact on peripheral vehicle systems.
- Implement advanced EMC/EMI mitigation strategies and design specialized filtering or shielding devices to ensure system compatibility.
- Provide technical guidance on EMI characterization to help optimize communication system protocols and ensure robust performance in noisy environments.
- Collaborate with researchers to enable the generation and processing of required PLC waveforms and perform rigorous EMC/EMI tests for compliance.
- Prepare technical reports and present progress to lab stakeholders and industry partners.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering from a reputable institution.
- At least 5 years of postdoctoral researcher experience in a reputable institution.
- Expertise in EMC/EMI characterization (conducted and radiative) and proven ability to design specialized filters and shielding solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in simulation tools such as CST Studio Suite, Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, or MATLAB.
- Strong background in microwave circuit design, S-parameter analysis, and high-frequency circuit modeling.
- Hands-on experience with VNA, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and PCB layout design for RF circuits.
- Familiarity with international automotive EMC standards and a strong track record of publications in high-impact journals.
