Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent and collaborative theoretical and computational research on 2D materials, including ferroelectric, multiferroic, topological, and moiré systems.
  • Develop, implement, and apply advanced simulation techniques (e.g., density functional theory, tight-binding, molecular dynamics) to investigate physical properties and phenomena in nanomaterials.
  • Analyze and interpret computational results; prepare high-quality manuscripts and research reports.
  • Present research findings at group meetings, international conferences, and workshops.
  • Mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate students in research projects.
  • Collaborate with experimental groups and external partners to validate and enhance research outcomes.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science or related field.
  • Technical experience in quantum chemistry, condensed matter physics, theoretical materials science.
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Julia, Fortran, C++, MATLAB) and experience with high-performance computing environments
  • Demonstrated publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team
