Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Research Office, including coordination of research manpower matters and administrative processes for the unit.
- Support school management in the planning and implementation of initiatives to develop and strengthen the school’s research portfolio.
- Coordinate with the College and relevant offices on the administration of research grants, research agreements, and related documentation.
- Assist in the collation, analysis, and reporting of research data and statistics, working with college offices where required.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for research related publicity materials and submissions.
- Coordinate and support research engagement activities, such as seminars, workshops, courses, and engagement sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a point of contact for research administration matters and participate in committees or initiatives as assigned by school management.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, funding agency requirements, and relevant regulations in research administration activities.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to one direct report, ensuring seamless support for the Research Office’s operations and priorities.
Requirements
- A recognized Master’s or PhD with at least 2 years of relevant experience in research grant and/or project management.
- Good understanding of the research ecosystem.
- International or interdisciplinary experience in various technical environments, a proven track record in grant management and experience in higher education sector will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organisational levels.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong internal and external partnerships.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable in managing complex and time-sensitive projects.
- Excellent writing, communication, numerical, and organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in MS Office and open to learning new digital tools and applications.
