Key Responsibilities

  • Design experimental systems and perform experimental measurements.
  • Process experimental data analyze the results.
  • Implement numerical calculations to simulate collective behaviors of bacteria.
  • Build theoretical models to describe or explain the experimental or numerical results.
  • Help organize the research lab.
  • Help train other members of the lab, such as undergraduate students.

Requirements

  • PhD (for Research Fellow and above equivalent) degree in biophysics, soft matter physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in experimental techniques such as microscopy, microfluidics, or rheology OR molecular dynamics simulation or agent-based simulation.
  • Competent in soft skills e.g. information visualization, oral presentation, etc.
  • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
