Key Responsibilities
- In the role of Shift Technologist, you will work alongside engineers, production, and process partners to identify equipment issues, carry out root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions that safeguard yield, quality, and cycle time.
- Contribute to smart manufacturing projects by bringing to bear data, automation, and emerging digital or AI-enabled technologies to improve equipment health monitoring and operational efficiency.
- Perform equipment data analysis and root-cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, 8D) to resolve recurring or complex equipment issues.
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including equipment optimization, process stabilization, and implementation of best-known methods.
- Maintain close communication with production and process collaborators to ensure alignment on priorities, shift handovers, and quick resolution of equipment risks when critical issues arise.
- Document technical findings, corrective actions, and lessons learned to support knowledge sharing and long-term equipment improvement.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in Probe manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on technical competence with semiconductor Probe equipment, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and equipment recovery in a production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills using structured methodologies such as 5-Why, 8D, FMEA, or Lean manufacturing tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to support shift handovers, cross-functional collaboration, and addressing customer concerns.
- Willingness to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment and respond effectively to dynamic production demands.
- Interest in or basic understanding of automation, data analytics, or AI applications in semiconductor manufacturing is an advantage.
