About the role
Senior Process Development Engineer specializing in Plasma‑CVD and Thermal Diffusion for advanced NAND flash technologies, responsible for designing, characterizing, optimizing, and transferring thin‑film processes within Micron's R&D pilot line and fab environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver Plasma‑CVD or Diffusion process packages to meet product specifications and program timelines
- Characterize processes using SEM, TEM, XPS, SIMS, AFM and other techniques
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and present findings
- Support R&D pilot line operations and improve process maturity and capability
- Update fab engineers on customer issues and technology needs
- Perform root‑cause defect analysis and failure mode investigations
Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field (BS/MS with 5 years industry/research experience acceptable)
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor process development or related R&D
- Strong understanding of transport phenomena, electromagnetics, atomic/molecular physics, surface phenomena, and plasma physics
- Experience with Plasma‑CVD and thermal diffusion deposition processes
- Proficiency in thin‑film characterization tools (SEM, TEM, XPS, SIMS, AFM)
- Knowledge of process control, SPC, and statistical analysis techniques
