Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical roadmap of smart manufacturing and AI solutions in advanced factory scheduling, optimization and simulation at global scale that enable the achievement of industry leading manufacturing capability.
- Architect and deliver enterprise-grade scheduling solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, integrating optimization, discrete event simulation, and reinforcement learning into production systems Develop high-quality data analytics and applications that provide actionable insights for management and manufacturing teams.
- Explore and apply new frontier ideas, concepts and technology to enable breakthrough solutions at Micron.
- Collaborate across global sites to identify opportunities and deliver holistic solutions to drive continuous improvement in production metrics.
- Drive global alignment and benchmarking of scheduling and simulation solutions.
Requirements
- Possess a drive to make a difference and a passion for exploring new frontiers.
- Preferred in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Master's degree with exceptional industry experience will be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in factory scheduling, optimization modeling, and discrete event simulation.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and delivering large-scale, production-deployed optimization or simulation systems with measurable operational impact Expert-level knowledge in optimization (LP, MIP, meta-heuristics) with deep proficiency with solvers such as CPLEX/Gurobi.
- Strong applied knowledge in discrete event simulation and reinforcement learning.
