About the role
The Staff Engineer – Mechanical leads regional green‑field projects, drives mechanical system reliability, sustainability, and continuous improvement across Micron's semiconductor facilities, acting as the single point of contact for sites and central teams while overseeing design, construction, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and construction of regional green‑field projects aligned with global standards
- Provide engineering support for site projects, technology transfer, and sustainability initiatives
- Review and approve site capacity expansion and sustainability CAPEX
- Lead reliability improvement projects including system reliability, quality improvement, and equipment EOL replacements
- Coordinate regional efforts to align with strategic programs such as BCP, critical specifications, and quality defense
- Serve as single point of contact for regional sites and GFC central teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of facility engineering experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry
- Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities at all organizational levels
- Proven teamwork and collaboration across internal and external groups
- Demonstrated problem‑solving across multi‑functional and multicultural teams
