Senior Data Scientist for Micron's Smart Manufacturing AI (SMAI) OI team in Singapore, responsible for designing and implementing advanced scheduling, optimization, and simulation solutions to improve fab performance and drive manufacturing innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop smart manufacturing and AI solutions in advanced factory scheduling, optimization, and simulation to achieve industry‑leading manufacturing capability.
- Develop high‑quality data analytics and applications that provide actionable insights for management and manufacturing teams.
- Explore and apply frontier ideas, concepts, and technologies to enable breakthrough solutions at Micron.
- Collaborate across global sites to identify opportunities and deliver holistic solutions that drive continuous improvement in production metrics.
- Drive global alignment and benchmarking of scheduling and simulation solutions.
Requirements

- Highly motivated, proactive, strong work ethic; able to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, or other quantitative disciplines with emphasis on optimization, simulation, and algorithmic problem‑solving.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in factory scheduling, optimization modeling, or simulation in a manufacturing or operations context.
- Knowledge and experience with optimization techniques (LP, MIP, meta‑heuristics) and tools such as CPLEX or Gurobi (strongly preferred).
- Knowledge and experience with discrete event simulation and reinforcement learning (preferred).
