About the role

Senior business unit specialist responsible for driving end-to-end supply chain strategy and demand planning for Applied Materials' Global Products Group. The role leads cross-functional teams to optimize inventory, forecast demand, and align product roadmaps with customer requirements across semiconductor and display equipment markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies for the Global Products Group portfolio
  • Lead demand planning and inventory optimization initiatives across global supply chain
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering teams to align product roadmaps with customer needs
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes using lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business unit performance
  • Manage product lifecycle from introduction through end-of-life planning
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify growth opportunities
  • Present business performance and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and customers
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver complex supply chain initiatives
  • Engage directly with key customers to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning, or business operations within semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP, MES, and SPC systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Mandarin fluency strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and influencing without direct authority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel for data analysis
  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment or related capital equipment industries preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
