Key Responsibilities
- Manage databases access, backups and ensure compliance with database and security standards.
- Perform changes to critical databases related to manufacturing and engineering.
- Support incident, request, change, and problem management tasks associated with database operations.
- Provide oncall support, including outside of office hours.
- Perform business continuity planning and capacity forecast for database systems
- Collaborate with site customers on new database requirements, problem resolution and data flow requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Candidates with minimum 4 years of relevant working experience may be considered for a senior position.
- Good understanding and hands-on experience in the following areas will be advantageous: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Databases, Linux and Windows operation systems.
- Programming and scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell and Python.
- Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
