About the role
Senior executive role leading credit risk management for financial institutions at a major Asian bank. Responsible for underwriting, portfolio oversight, policy development, and team leadership within the FI segment.

Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite/approve credit cases for FI client segment within approved risk appetite and origination policies
- Monitor credit quality of FI portfolios, including via individual or portfolio credit review and stress test, and adopt or recommend pre-emptive risk mitigation measures when appropriate
- Review and evaluate credit proposals and internal ratings and ensure that well-rounded and comprehensive evaluations are available for credit authority holders' decision, with minimal delay in required turnaround time nor delinquency in review schedule
- Assign sovereign ratings and propose/concur country risk limits
- Participate to ensure internal rating models and FI portfolio related credit policy and procedures are up-to-date and highly relevant
- Contribute credit opinions to new proposal or review of FI related financial products, including various Frameworks which facilitate timely customer onboarding and execution of transactions
Requirements
- + years of experience in credit risk management, specializing in financial institutions.
- Proven success in leadership and managing both people and business units.
- Deep understanding of global macroeconomics, financial regulations, and banking soundness.
- Strong ability to balance business development needs with stringent risk control.
