About the role

This is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and implementing ethical AI frameworks and governance within an innovation-focused group. The First VP will oversee model fairness, regulatory compliance, and the adoption of responsible AI practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and maintenance of the Responsible AI (RAI) framework to guide the ethical development and deployment of AI solutions
  • Oversee the execution of AI ethics assessments focusing on transparency, fairness, and potential bias in model outputs
  • Establish governance standards for generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) within the Innovation Group
  • Partner with legal and risk departments to interpret and apply evolving global AI regulations and guidelines
  • Drive the implementation of explainable AI (XAI) methodologies across all automated decision-making systems
  • Monitor and report on the compliance of AI projects with established ethical standards and corporate policies
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Innovation Group on matters relating to algorithmic accountability and data ethics
  • Collaborate with data engineering and MLOps teams to integrate responsible AI checkpoints into the CI/CD pipeline

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in AI/ML, data ethics, or technology risk management
  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a technical field such as Data Science, AI, Engineering, or Technology Ethics
  • Deep technical knowledge of machine learning lifecycles and the mathematical foundations of AI models
  • Demonstrated experience in applying AI fairness and explainability toolkits like Fairlearn or SHAP
  • Strong understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes, including MAS FEAT principles or the EU AI Act
  • Experience in policy development and organizational change management within a high-tech context
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical executives
  • Professional certification in data privacy or AI governance is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern MLOps environments
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects in a complex corporate environment
