Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Technical Authority & Electrical System Strategy
  • Act as the technical authority for electrical systems across facilities construction programs, including HV, MV, and LV distribution systems.
  • Define and govern electrical system architecture, redundancy concepts, capacity planning, and long‑term scalability to support fab expansion and tool loading.
  • Review, challenge, and approve consultant and contractor electrical designs, calculations, material selections, and deviations.
  • Lead resolution of complex system‑level issues involving power reliability, protection coordination, grounding, arc‑flash risk, and emergency power systems.
  • 2. Construction Execution & Integration Leadership
  • Provide senior‑level technical leadership during construction execution, with strong on‑site presence during critical activities.
  • Drive resolution of field, constructability, and integration challenges, including brownfield tie‑ins, phased cutovers, and live facility interfaces.
  • Influence contractor execution strategies, sequencing, and recovery plans related to electrical critical path activities.
  • Partner with CSA, mechanical, process utilities, tool install, and facilities operations teams to ensure end‑to‑end system integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience with facilities or industrial construction, with ownership of electrical systems at the large‑scale or campus level.
  • Semiconductor fabs, data centres, or other mission‑critical facilities are strongly preferred.
  • Technical & Professional Competencies
  • Deep expertise in HV/MV/LV electrical distribution, emergency power, and protection systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction execution, commissioning, and startup in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to make high‑impact technical decisions, influence stakeholders, and resolve multi-disciplinary issues.
  • Clear, structured communication with both engineering teams and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP), strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Working Conditions
  • This position requires working in both office environments and active construction sites, with occasional travel to project locations.
  • Availability during critical construction, energization, or commissioning windows as required.
