Key Responsibilities
- The DMTS is a recognized expert inside and outside Micron, shaping the technical vision for cell film processes with influence across top-level organizational boundaries, leading programs spanning the engineering group, driving breakthroughs, influencing industry/cross-disciplinary teams, and mentoring senior technical leaders to guide critical roadmap decisions.
- Owns and updates the cell film process technology roadmap
- Drives external collaborations and benchmarking

Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications / Experience PhD≥15yrs, or Master's ≥17yrs, of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field, Experience in Thin Film R&D for NAND, specifically in Diffusion, CVD, and Cell Film technologies Proventrack recordof architecting technical solutions & process-device correlation Publications/patents and strong record of technical contributions.
- Must-Have Technical Skills Deep expertise & recognized authority in ALD/CVD thin film technologies ,leadingthe invention and deployment of new deposition methods, materials, and integration strategies that enable disruptive 3D NAND scaling across generations.
- Deepexpertisein process–device correlation frameworks, reliability modeling, and advanced failure analysis , with the ability to definecanonicalmodels that guide technology decisions and long‑term scaling strategy.
- Leads the conception, development, and industrialization of disruptive chemistries, materials, and hardware solutions , influencing internal technology direction and shaping external industry standards through benchmarking and thought leadership.
- Mastery of advanced characterization and electrical evaluation techniques (SIMS, XPS, TEM, EELS, APT, electrical stress testing, ML‑assisted image analysis) to build predictive models for HAR structures, defect behavior, and reliability performance.
- Proven ability toguides enterprise‑level technology decisions,mentorssenior technical leaders and SMTS/Principal engineers, andensuresthe long‑term evolution of cell film capability through standards, frameworks, and talent pipelines.
