About the role

Support Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations for a Chinese Restaurant. Train culinary staff on kitchen standards and hygiene. Follow recipes, manage stocks, and ensure high-quality food production and presentation. Maintain stringent hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Train Chef de Partie and Commis on kitchen standards and hygiene
  • Follow standard recipes and guidelines for food presentation and production
  • Manage stocks for mise en place and conduct goods receiving checks
  • Abide by food & safety hygiene policy and handle kitchen equipment properly
  • Ensure safe and proper use of equipment and provide guidance to culinary colleagues

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma / Certification in Culinary or Management
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a 4-5 star hotel or quality restaurant
  • Comprehensive and diverse culinary background
  • Excellent logistical, culinary, and leadership skills
  • Willing and able to do shift work
  • Well-groomed and professional appearance
