About the role

The Cloud Engagement Lead for JAPAC manages strategic cloud adoption and digital transformation initiatives for semiconductor customers across the region. This role bridges the gap between high-performance computing (HPC) requirements for chip design and cloud infrastructure solutions to optimize engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic cloud engagement and migration programs for semiconductor accounts across the JAPAC region
  • Partner with fabless and foundry customers to define cloud-native roadmaps for EDA and manufacturing workloads
  • Drive high-level technical and business discussions with C-suite stakeholders at major technology firms
  • Collaborate with global product and engineering teams to tailor cloud solutions for regional market needs
  • Oversee the end-to-end cloud adoption lifecycle from initial feasibility studies to production scaling
  • Analyze regional market trends and customer requirements to influence future cloud product development
  • Manage complex commercial agreements and project delivery timelines for large-scale cloud transformations
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between sales, technical account managers, and customer engineering teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical sales, engagement management, or cloud consulting
  • Proven expertise in the semiconductor industry with a focus on EDA software and design workflows
  • Strong technical proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale customer transformations in the JAPAC region
  • Deep understanding of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and its application in silicon design
  • Ability to navigate complex regional business environments and cross-cultural communication
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex cloud architectures to non-technical audiences
  • Professional fluency in English; additional JAPAC languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean are a plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the JAPAC region as business needs dictate
  • Experience with ROI modeling and building business cases for enterprise-scale cloud migrations
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex technical programs
