About the role
This role involves leading and managing actuarial risk consulting projects for non-life insurance clients within the financial services sector. The Manager or Senior Manager will oversee technical valuations, capital modeling, and the implementation of regulatory standards such as IFRS 17 while providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex actuarial consulting engagements for non-life insurance clients
- Manage project lifecycles including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management
- Review and validate actuarial models for loss reserving, pricing, and capital adequacy
- Provide technical expertise and advisory services for IFRS 17 and Solvency II implementation
- Develop and maintain client relationships by acting as a primary technical point of contact
- Communicate complex actuarial findings and strategic insights to executive-level stakeholders
- Mentor and develop junior actuarial staff through peer review and technical training
- Support business development by identifying new consulting opportunities and leading proposal efforts
- Ensure quality control and compliance with professional actuarial standards across all deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a highly quantitative field
- Professional qualification as a Fellow or Associate of a recognized actuarial body (e.g., IFoA, CAS)
- Minimum of 6 to 12 years of experience in non-life insurance or risk consulting
- Strong technical proficiency in actuarial software such as ResQ, Emblem, or Radar
- Proven experience with financial reporting frameworks, specifically IFRS 17
- In-depth knowledge of Solvency II or local capital management regulations
- Advanced programming skills in R, Python, SAS, or VBA for data analysis
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage professional project teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills focused on financial risk
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting to non-technical audiences
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the insurance industry landscape
