About the role
The Section Manager, Operations oversees daily manufacturing operations in a semiconductor foundry, leading a team to meet safety, quality, and output targets. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the manufacturing section to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and operators.
- Implement and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and cleanroom protocols.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
- Manage resource allocation including staffing, materials, and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related industry.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of cleanroom operations and manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with production planning and resource management.
