About This Role
Shell Energy Asia's IT Ops Engineer role requires experienced professionals to ensure stability, reliability, and security of Gas and Power digital applications with strong Azure Databricks expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for critical trading, scheduling, and settlements applications.
- Support change releases, upgrades, and cutovers to ensure operational readiness and SLA compliance.
- Strengthen the control environment through IT controls, security remediation, and audit compliance.
- Partner with Product, Data Analytics, and DevOps teams to enhance service reliability and observability.
- Provide leadership support during critical business periods with on-call coverage aligned to service criticality.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of operational practices in line with Shell Service Operations Management priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise applications and integrations with strong problem-solving capability.
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Request) and ability to operate as an end-to-end service integrator.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Azure Databricks for troubleshooting and data validation.
- Demonstrated discipline in operating within enterprise governance for change controls, access management, and audit requirements.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication capability to independently manage complex situations.
