About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer II supervises and coordinates production activities in a wafer fab cleanroom environment to meet manufacturing goals. The role involves managing WIP, resolving bottlenecks, mentoring team members, and driving quality and cost improvement programs. Candidates should have a degree in Science or Engineering, preferably with 1-3 years of wafer fab experience, and be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals through the efficient use of manpower, material, and machine; together with proficient methodologies, in a hazardous-free and healthy working environment.
- Plan, strategize and monitor the movement of WIP for maximum throughput, minimum idle time and maintain line linearity.
- Solicit Engineering support to ensure tight focus on areas and variance requiring immediate attention.
- Resolve and handle line-related issues / preventive maintenance and to understand all equipment capacities / constraints so as to identify, handle and resolve bottleneck situations.
- Mentor and train all Manufacturing Leaders and Assistants to develop skills required for efficient MFG operations.
- Execute improvement programs in manufacturing operations in his/her Section.
- Facilitate and participate in quality, productivity and cost reduction improvement.
- Ensure safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance by all personnel and take actions on violators.
- Ensure proper documentation and data-integrity.
- Perform shift duties to support production, as required by Section Manager.
Requirements
- Degree in Science or Engineering
- Proven leadership quality
- Preferably 1-3 years relevant wafer fab manufacturing experience.
