About the role

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for sustaining and improving equipment performance in the Etching department of a semiconductor foundry. Duties include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring uptime, managing spares, and implementing improvement projects. The role requires a degree in engineering and 0-3 years of experience, with training provided for fresh graduates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sustain and improve all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot equipment-related problems to minimize equipment downtime
  • Monitor equipment performance indices and maximize uptime to sustain optimal performance
  • Establish stock levels of essential spares and consumables to support equipment maintenance based on forecasted manufacturing volume
  • Forecast equipment spares and other equipment-related expenditures
  • Provide and maintain PM specifications for equipment to meet ISO requirements
  • Organize training for AEs to upgrade their technical skills to perform tasks assigned
  • Implement equipment improvement projects to upkeep capabilities and reliability of equipment with high quality
  • Participate in 10k idea, LSS & BKM programs to optimize equipment utilization and PM cost
  • Execute new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hook-up, vendor start-up, to acceptance of equipment for production

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply, training will be provided
  • Basic engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, digital principle and wafer fabrication processes
  • Basic skill in using various Microsoft business applications
  • Able to work on 12-hour shifts
