About the role

The Technical Operations Manager will oversee asset lifecycle management, lead technical projects, ensure operational compliance, manage budgets, vendor performance, and provide infrastructure design consulting for building systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimizing asset lifecycles by managing long‑term maintenance and investment strategies for technical building systems
  • Leading complex engineering projects from planning through implementation with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction
  • Driving a safety‑first culture and ensuring all site activities comply with local authority requirements, safety regulations, and legal standards
  • Monitoring financial performance, forecasting maintenance spending, asset upgrades, and property costs
  • Acting as primary lead for external service providers, overseeing vendor selection and ensuring high‑quality delivery of facility services
  • Providing technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems during design, testing, and commissioning of new site developments

Requirements

  • Your defining qualities / You'll win us over by: Technical Expertise: Holding a degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) with 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, facilities management, or automation.
  • Sustainability Leadership: Having practical experience with green building certifications (like LEED or Green Mark) and modern, "smart" facility technologies.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Being skilled at navigating relationships with external contractors and internal leadership, including experience with digital tools and cybersecurity basics.
  • Decisive Communication: Displaying strong organizational and advisory skills, with the ability to lead teams and resolve conflicts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Regulatory & Reliability Expertise: Having strong knowledge of local codes, building standards, EHS regulations, and maintenance site reliability.
