Enterprise Systems is part of IS&T and owns the technology behind Apple's SAP environment and its modernization through the SAP Landscape Modernization (SLM) initiative. The team manages the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of the world's largest single-instance SAP deployment — a platform that sustains Apple's global supply chain and the integrity of its core financial systems. The SAP Technology team is responsible for managing and supporting databases for SAP systems. The team is responsible for complete SAP solutions. You will be participating in a global technical team you will adapt quickly to dynamic environments, learn new technologies, and develop elegant solutions to complex problems. You will be able to demonstrate problem solving and multi-tasking skills while working under pressure and exercising your knowledge of SAP Commerce and DevOps. Key responsibilities will include the following among others: - Architect, design, implement & support highly available and scalable enterprise solutions that can match Apple volumes. - Accountable for landscape management, availability and performance of all HANA systems. - Coordinate with different teams in installation, maintenance and upgrades of HANA systems. - Support HANA systems through out the lifecycle of projects from time to time. - Ensure integrity of HANA databases by designing and applying appropriate security settings. - Involve in proactive database monitoring and performance tuning of large HANA systems. - Provide technical upgrades functional and technical enhancements. - Provide training and knowledge transfer for the team. - Troubleshoot problems with connectivity, web services, and overall aspects of the SAP solution. - Installation, upgrade and maintenance of HANA databases. - Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations team and service providers. - Have a complete understanding of the SAP HANA on-premise and cloud environment. - Drive for continuous improvement as a team member. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience At least 5 years of HANA administration experience in large environments, preferably running SAP Business Suites At least 2 years experience in user management, monitoring and troubleshooting of HANA database Extensive experience in data compression, table partition, compression techniques You should have participated in a minimum of 3-4 implementations of SAP systems Experience in High availability, disaster recovery, system refreshes and backup mechanisms Should have experience in production support Experience in implementation of S/4 HANA Preferred Qualifications: Ability to lead critical issues involving large HANA systems Ability to take ownership of work activities and take it to conclusion in a timely and efficient manner Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams spread across regions
