- We are seeking a technically skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Remanufacturing Process Technology Group (RPT), specializing in advanced e-beam and arc joining processes.
- This role will contribute to advancing the group's capabilities in robotic additive manufacturing and joining technologies, supporting both research and industrial collaboration projects.
- Job Description The successful candidate will contribute to the development, optimization, and implementation of advanced robotic welding and additive manufacturing processes.
- Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and experimental setups to support welding, joining, and additive manufacturing processes.
- Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for mechanical assemblies, test rigs, and manufacturing equipment.
- Support the design, fabrication, and assembly of prototype systems and hardware modules for research and development projects.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, manufacturing methods, and fabrication processes for designed components.
