About the role

Senior Product Owner responsible for defining and executing global brokerage and digital asset custody (DAC) product strategy, end-to-end delivery, stakeholder management, and commercial performance in a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the global brokerage strategy for cash equities and the delivery roadmap for Wealth clients.
  • Execute the Brokerage Acceleration strategy and create a distinctive, client-led trading brand proposition.
  • Own and drive the Wealth DAC product roadmap, commercialize the DAC strategy, supporting growth through proposition design, pricing/packaging inputs, distribution readiness, and tracking of commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated interest in and willingness to embrace AI to improve product discovery, requirements quality, delivery efficiency, controls/monitoring and client experience.
  • Maintain strong awareness of external industry trends, competitor approaches and ecosystem developments; identify innovation and partnerships to differentiate HSBC.
  • Lead end-to-end product delivery from concept to approval to build to launch to post-launch optimisation, including definition of MVPs, phased rollouts and success metrics.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in a mid-to-senior role at a bank in an investment product development capacity within equities, listed product market infrastructure and/or Digital Assets.
  • Proven experience in product management (or closely related product delivery/strategy role) within financial services, ideally across Wealth, Markets, Brokerage, or digital platforms.
  • Established track record of project and financial delivery within large financial services organisations, including delivery with external partners.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal) in a regulated environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce crisp executive updates and influence senior stakeholders.
  • University degree holder; graduate degree is well regarded.
