Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of high-value client relationships to drive retention and business growth for HSBC Life
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet annual revenue and profitability targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Underwriting, Claims, and Operations to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide expert advice to clients on life insurance solutions and wealth management strategies
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for product enhancement or new business
  • Manage and mentor junior client management staff to foster a high-performance culture
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and strategic reviews to senior executive leadership
  • Ensure all client engagement activities adhere to internal governance and external regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in client management or business development within the life insurance or financial services industry
  • Proven track record of managing large corporate accounts and achieving aggressive sales and retention targets
  • Deep understanding of life insurance products, market dynamics, and the regulatory environment in the region
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing professional teams
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills at an executive level
  • Ability to navigate complex matrix organizations and influence senior stakeholders
  • Professional insurance designations such as FLMI or ANZIIF are highly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies
  • Fluency in English and local language requirements as applicable to the market
