Job Description
Business Function Global Transaction Services (GTS) is a product division within DBS' Institutional Banking Group (IBG). GTS is focused on the development and deployment of Cash Management (including collections, payments, liquidity management and transactional FX solutions), Documentary and Open Account Trade Finance, and Securities & Fiduciary products to the Bank's IBG client base. About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trade Product Manager to drive the commercialization of our trade business, specifically focusing on SME clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and campaigns to capture business opportunities within the target segments. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of trade business requirements, product technicalities, and a strategic, analytical mindset. Key Responsibilities Commercialization Strategy: Drive the commercialization strategy for trade business products and services tailored for SME clients, identifying growth opportunities and developing plans to capitalize on them. Initiative and Campaign Management: Design, implement and manage initiatives/campaigns to attract and retain SME clients. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain a "control tower" framework to effectively track progress, measure business momentum, and monitor key performance indicators. Provide regular and insightful updates to senior management on business performance and strategic progress. Customer Journey Enhancement: Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including sales, operations, and technology teams, to continuously identify opportunities for improving the customer journey and enhancing overall client experience. Market Insight and Product Development: Leverage in-depth industry knowledge of trade business requirements and opportunities within the Midcap and SME segments to inform product enhancements and new product development. Product Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding and knowledge of the technical aspects and functionalities of various trade products, providing subject matter expertise to internal teams and clients. Requirements Experience Level: Proven experience in product management within the trade finance sector, with a track record of driving commercial success. Candidates will be considered for VP or AVP rank based on experience and qualifications. Industry Knowledge: In-depth industry knowledge of trade business requirements, market trends, and opportunities relevant to SME clients. Technical Acumen: Good understanding and practical knowledge of trade product technicalities, including but not limited to, Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Payable/Receivables Financing. Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify market gaps, and develop actionable plans to achieve business goals. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data, track performance, and make data-driven decisions. Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders. Customer Focus: A strong customer-centric approach with a commitment to improving the customer experience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, either in Finance, Business, Economics or related field. 5-8 years of experience in trade finance product or SME Banking is highly preferred.
