Key Responsibilities
- Influence technical strategy for APJC, aligning to AWS's global priorities while reflecting the unique regulatory environments and cultural nuances of markets across the region
- Serve as the primary technology voice for APJC within the Global Technology Leadership Team, influencing product direction and go-to-market investment
- Anticipate emerging technology trends including generative AI, sovereign cloud, and industry-specific platforms to position AWS as the partner of choice
- Engage at C-suite and board level with customers as a trusted advisor on digital transformation, AI strategy, and cloud-native architecture
- Lead the development of compelling, differentiated technical narratives that connect AWS capabilities to customer business priorities
- Represent AWS at major industry events, government engagements, and thought leadership forums across the region
- Lead, inspire, and develop a large, geographically distributed organisation of technical leaders and Solutions Architects
- Set the bar for technical credibility and customer impact while managing the rhythm of business through weekly, monthly, and annual planning mechanisms
- Partner extensively with APJC Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and Partner leadership to develop integrated strategies that drive revenue growth
- Collaborate with AWS Global Service Teams to ensure APJC customer insights and requirements shape the global product roadmap
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years leadership experience in a technical, customer-facing role within the technology industry
- 15+ years of design, implementation or consulting experience with cloud native applications and architectures
- Proven experience leading technical pre-sales or customer-facing technical organisations at scale across diverse, multi-country markets
- Extensive people management experience and success building high-performing, inclusive teams in a matrixed environment
- Deep familiarity with cloud computing, generative AI, and the evolving technology landscape
- Demonstrated ability to connect technical solutions to commercial outcomes and influence customer buying decisions at the executive level
- History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Track record of presenting and influencing up to C level across technical and non-technical audiences
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience operating as a member of a senior leadership team, contributing to business strategy beyond a direct functional remit
