Key Responsibilities
- Identify suppliers and develop technical and commercial solutions for wavelengths, dark fiber, and submarine cable capacity
- Develop strategic backbone network plans for stakeholder approval and provide regular progress updates
- Organize, track, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to deliver new backbone capacity
- Partner with capacity planners and engineers to ensure efficient and cost-effective network topology
- Collaborate with finance partners on budget creation, business case development, deal analysis, and supplier invoicing
- Track telecommunications market trends in vendor technologies, coverage, pricing, and deal structures
Requirements
- 5+ years of solving problems with technology in the Telecommunications industry experience
- Experience working in a network planning, network construction/implementation, or commercial implementation role at an ISP, telecoms operator, or Hyperscaler
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems, or experience managing teams
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience delivering financial models and analysis that drive measurable business impact
- Experience working in large-scale networking environments
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies
- Experience working with speech and text language data in multiple languages
