About the role
Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for on-site support of server and rack production at contract manufacturers, driving NPI launches, ensuring quality and manufacturability in design, and resolving hardware failures through root-cause analysis and supplier process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage quality at the CM
- Provide On-Site support to new product launches as well as sustaining issues
- Design in quality and manufacturability on new designs of servers and racks
- Root cause customer impacting issues and drive resolution
- Work closely with CMs to scale up production on NPIs and ensure production and quality targets are met
- Work with ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and upstream component vendors to monitor and improve incoming hardware quality
- Monitor, report and investigate any early-life product failures
- Be the technical contact and take full ownership of the manufacturing launch and resolution of process issues
- Drive production up and running, understand root cause of hardware failures and resolve gaps in suppliers manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or similar related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or on high-tech hardware
- 5+ working with manufacturing suppliers to improve incoming quality of systems
- 5+ years Experience reducing cycle time and improving labor efficiency
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
