About the role
Facility Engineer (Electrical) responsible for safe operation, maintenance, reliability, capacity planning, project commissioning, power quality monitoring, and energy performance of electrical infrastructure in a semiconductor wafer fab environment.
FablessOnsiteFacilities Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Operate & Maintenance: Lead safe, compliant operation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure, establish and control MOS/SOP, maintain technical documentation, partner with Engineering, Operations, and EHS on regulatory compliance, drive risk and safety programs (FMEA, LOTO, arc flash, permits) and ensure audit readiness.
- Reliability & Risk Management: Drive root cause analysis for electrical disturbances, lead predictive and preventive maintenance programs, and strengthen system reliability to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Capacity Planning & Tool Install: Plan and manage electrical load models across fab and facilities, ensure proper feeder loading, redundancy and diversity, review/approve designs, and oversee safe energization and commissioning.
- Projects & Commissioning: Define acceptance criteria and test protocols, witness critical tests, manage vendor performance, and ensure documentation close‑out (O&Ms, as‑builts).
- Power Quality & Energy Performance: Monitor power quality, deploy mitigations (filters, SEMI F47 ride‑through, UPS tuning), and drive energy efficiency projects such as transformer loading optimization, UPS efficiency improvements, busway loss reduction, and smart metering analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience in Electrical Engineering
