About the role
The Data & Application Engineer will support the strategic and operational development of SPC and SPACE system landscapes at Qualcomm, acting as a technical partner for product owners and stakeholders, designing scalable data pipelines, building data architectures, and ensuring data quality while collaborating with functional architects and engineers.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide consulting and analysis of business requirements, processes, and system gaps in the SPACE and eCAP domains
- Design and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
- Build and maintain efficient data architectures and infrastructures
- Collaborate closely with Functional Architects and Engineers to deliver high performance data solutions
- Develop and enhance user documentation and training materials
- Lead technical aspects of projects, business cases, and proof of concepts (POCs)
Requirements
- 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years without a degree
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering/Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong expertise in data engineering and integration, including ETL services/tools, databases, SQL/NoSQL
- Proficiency with data structures such as XML, XSLT, JSON, YAML
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Rust, Java, C++, C#)
- Knowledge of system architecture and interface development
