Senior Development Engineer

About This Role

Join Neste in Singapore as a Senior Development Engineer to drive the development of capital investment projects for renewable fuels. You will translate improvement ideas into tangible capex projects within a global leader in sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead early-phase refinery capital investment projects, including technical and business evaluations.
• Prepare investment concepts and lead pre-study/feasibility studies to finalize project scope.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from development through commissioning and start-up planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in asset development processes using Neste's PIPE model.
• Support projects by facilitating alignment meetings and providing investment management training.
• Collaborate with diverse internal/external stakeholders including EPCs, operations, and global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant technical field (e.g., Chemical/Mechanical Engineering).
• 5-7 years of experience in operations and capital investment projects.
• Experience within oil refining, petrochemicals, or similar industries is required.
• Strong understanding of cross-engineering fields, production economics, and technology.
• Proven leadership skills and excellent stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Safety-oriented mindset and responsible attitude.
