About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist with a PhD in HVAC to join Bosch's R&D team, focusing on sustainable building solutions and thermal system innovation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor technology development to support business growth in HVAC and sustainable building.
- Co-create with internal units to identify research requirements for the long-term product portfolio.
- Conduct customer interviews and formulate problem statements to generate innovation proposals.
- Build cooperation with local institutions and universities for 'outside-in' research collaboration.
- Maintain alignment with Sustainability and IoT teams to provide project updates and idea pitching.
- Drive advanced research in residential and commercial HVAC technology for academic and industrial challenges.
Requirements
- PhD in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, or Process Engineering) with a focus on HVAC systems.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in R&D engineering or academic research involving thermal system modeling.
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating and benchmarking thermal systems, energy management solutions, and building technologies.
- Track record of successfully managing 2 or more research projects from conception through completion.
- Background in entrepreneurial ventures, start-up environments, or collaborative product and concept development.
