Key Responsibilities
- A globally distributed team responsible for the in-country testing and qualification of ASE (Apple Services Engineering) functionality — spanning the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, and other storefronts, along with payments and related store services.
- Your team will validate the full breadth of ASE features including consumer-facing user interfaces, backend services, payments, tax, and commerce data reconciliation across local markets and regional storefronts worldwide.
- Oversee the development of scalable automation frameworks to enable rapid validation, support continuous integration, reduce regression cycles, and drive overall testing efficiency across in-country and global markets — ensuring quality at scale across ASE's growing portfolio of services.
- This role leads a globally distributed team that includes international contractors across multiple countries.
- Be expected to: Manage and mentor engineers and contractors across time zones, ensuring clear communication, priority alignment, and consistent delivery standards Coordinate production validation schedules with the teams to ensure coverage across regional launches, storefronts, and regulatory
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in software quality engineering, including leading a team and large-scale projects and driving automation initiatives Proven experience managing international contractors or distributed vendor teams, including performance management, goal setting, and cross-timezone coordination
- Experience running or overseeing global QA programs spanning multiple regions and regulatory environments
- Experience testing mobile applications and backend services at scale
- Strong knowledge of QA automation architecture, methodologies, processes, and tools Hands-on experience automating functional and integration testing across web, mobile, and backend services Exceptional communication skills — able to articulate complex concepts clearly and tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences across cultures and geographies Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with engineering, product, and vendor teams
- Experience working in an agile development environment with CI/CD pipelines and rapid release cycles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
