About the role
Join Apple’s Cloud network Infrastructure team to help support and scale cloud services. As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of K8 infra, Software Firewalls, and VPC management, ensuring high availability, scale, and resilience for critical services like iCloud and Maps.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of K8 infrastructure, Software Firewalls, and VPC management.
- Handle incident management for cloud network services to maintain high availability, scale, and resilience.
- Drive solutions with a strong passion for excellence, quality, and detail.
- Participate in on-call rotation on a periodic basis.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux systems administration, including configuration, automated provisioning, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with network tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and traceroute.
- Familiarity with 'infrastructure-as-code' approach and tools.
- Kubernetes experience, including cluster management as well as application deployment and configuration.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Ansible, Shell.
- Solid grasp of fundamentals of modern technology stacks: containers, IP networking, HTTP, SSL.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, routing/switching, firewalls, and network protocols.
- Able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong operational and troubleshooting skills.
