About the role
The Engineering Specialist (MDW Automation) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems for manufacturing equipment. The role involves PLC programming, SCADA configuration, and MES integration to optimize production processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation solutions for manufacturing equipment
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Configure and maintain SCADA systems
- Integrate MES with equipment and automation layers
- Support continuous improvement projects for cycle time and yield
- Document automation designs, specifications, and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, equipment, IT)
- Provide technical support for automation-related issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in automation engineering
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Experience with SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition)
- Knowledge of MES integration (e.g., Camstar, Siemens)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with semiconductor or electronics manufacturing preferred
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
