About the role
The Engineering Specialist (Front/BackEnd Maintenance) is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment to ensure high uptime and process stability. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and collaborating with process engineers to optimize tool performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on front-end and back-end semiconductor equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with process engineers to improve tool performance and yield
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory
- Support equipment installation and qualification for new processes
- Ensure compliance with safety and cleanroom protocols
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for equipment reliability
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance
- Hands-on experience with front-end or back-end tools (e.g., etchers, CVD, CMP, testers)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and safety standards
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with PLC or automation systems is a plus
