Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development in organic/inorganic chemistry to enhance HDD performance and reliability
- Study new material performance under extreme test conditions for HDD applications
- Investigate interaction effects of new materials/components on system‑level drive performance
- Stay current with advancements in chemistry and data storage technology
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications
- Develop solutions to technical problems using materials science principles
Requirements
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, Material Science or related field
- Strong background in synthesis and characterization of organic materials
- Demonstrated research excellence through publications and patents
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities
