About the role
This role provides 24/7 technical support for mission-critical manufacturing systems and software applications within a high-tech production environment. The engineer is responsible for incident resolution, system monitoring, and ensuring production uptime for automated workflows.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related production software to ensure minimal downtime.
- Monitor system health and performance alerts to proactively identify and resolve potential production bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software application incidents and hardware connectivity issues on the production floor.
- Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system restarts, maintenance tasks, and emergency recovery.
- Document all technical incidents, workarounds, and resolutions within the enterprise ticketing system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and IT teams to support system upgrades and patch deployments.
- Participate in shift handovers and provide detailed status reports on system availability and open issues.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of workstation hardware and peripherals used in the manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in operations or application support within a semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, troubleshooting, and reporting purposes.
- Working knowledge of Unix or Linux operating systems including command-line navigation.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or automated factory control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure in a 24/7 production environment.
- Willingness to work on a rotating shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with production operators and global IT teams.
- Basic understanding of scripting languages like Shell or Python for task automation.
- Experience with incident management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Remedy.
