Key Responsibilities

  • In every engagement, you will interact directly with the target company's CTO / CIO and broader management team, learning how real decisions are made and how mature tech organizations operate.
  • SSG has completed hundreds of successful engagements, offering a unique capability to help clients make confident strategic decisions and execute transactions with clarity and conviction.
  • Advise clients across sectors, support executive decision makers, and lead engagement workstreams across pre‑deal software and technology due diligence, carve‑outs and integrations, and portfolio value assessments.
  • Evaluate proprietary software and product technology , assessing feature set, roadmap, architecture, R&D processes, development practices, scalability, security posture, technical debt, and team capabilities to determine the product's ability to support future growth and investment.

Requirements

  • Basic or strong understanding of modern software concepts such as software development lifecycle, product management, cloud infrastructure, software architecture, APIs, and data platforms
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT environments including ERPs, CRMs, and HRISs
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing complex business or technical problems and synthesizing insights for senior stakeholders
  • Ability to apply a commercial and deal‑focused mindset to assess technology risks, investment needs, operating models, and scalability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technology topics to non‑technical executives
