About the role

Support and enhance workplace safety practices within the department by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, effective risk management, and continuous improvement of safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain and ensure compliance to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policy, legislation, regulatory and company requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety reviews for component repair, testing, and overhaul activities
  • Perform regular workplace inspections, audits and safety walkabouts to monitor and enforce safe work practices
  • Support workshop supervisors in implementing corrective and preventive actions for safe work practices
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and track corrective actions to closure
  • Manage contractor safety activities within workshops and support facilities

Requirements

  • Responsibilities Implement, maintain and ensure compliance to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policy, legislation regulatory and company requirements Conduct risk assessments and safety reviews for component repair, testing, and overhaul activities Perform regular workplace inspections, audits and safety walkabouts to monitor and enforce safe work practices Support workshop supervisors in implementing corrective and preventive actions for safe work practices Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and track corrective actions to closure Manage contractor safety activities within workshops and support facilities Conduct safety training, induction, briefings, and engagement activities Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, and internal stakeholders on WSH matters Coordinate emergency preparedness planning, drills, and responses Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports Prepare safety performance reports and present findings to management Promote continuous improvement in safety awareness and a positive safety culture Qualifications & Work Experience Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant WSH experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or engineering industries.
  • Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
  • Familiar with Singapore WSH regulations and common workshop hazards (machinery, lifting operations, chemicals, testing equipment).
  • Familiar with contractor management and permit-to-work systems preferred.
  • Qualifications include: Degree or Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Specialist Diploma in WSH (Level C) or equivalent.
