About the role
This role involves leading a team to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Environmental Control Systems and Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire systems for a rail transit network. The engineer ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinates with contractors, and supports commissioning of new equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly work schedules. Ensure all monthly maintenance work orders are scheduled and carried out as planned and are closed promptly.
- Ensure that all works carried out comply strictly with the statutory Codes of Practices, approved work instruction / method statements, SMRTs Work Safety Manual, Quality Procedures and Quality Assurance System etc.
- Provide timely updates on work completion.
- Ensure that the maintenance key performance targets are met every month.
- Review all maintenance records and certify the safety critical work order completion and to feedback any fault or abnormality and to take remedial action if required.
- Provide first line of response to all operational issues and ensure that all reported faults are tracked and followed up.
- Coordinate and attend to interfacing works, testing, commissioning, and taking over of newly installed ECS equipment.
- Work closely with the LTA and their contractor to close all faults and defects registered during the equipment Defect Liability Period (DLP).
- Participate, review and update work instruction / task list to ensure that all latest requirements are met and to enhance productivity.
- Provide improvements for operational safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience
- Be self-motivated, resourceful, positive, and organized.
- Able to work independently.
- Possess strong interpersonal & communication skills.
- Able to communicate effectively and ability to work in and as a team.
- Able to liaise with contractors effectively.
