About the role

This role involves assisting in the maintenance and operation of M&E systems within an integrated facilities management context. The position supports the Executive Engineer in planning, executing, and monitoring maintenance activities, ensuring timely response to breakdowns and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new installations, replacement, upgrading, maintenance and repair of all facilities.
  • Manage the maintenance team to provide support and provide effective maintenance of the hub facilities.
  • Monitor and control the stock level of equipment parts.
  • Identify root causes of failure and define equipment functions and performance standards.
  • Identify protective devices which are not fail-safe and identify failures, which threaten safety of the environment, affect operations, and entail the direct cost repair.
  • Monthly utility meter reading of electricity, chill water, water supply to shop lot.
  • Minor repairs of work such as painting work, toilet items etc.
  • Respond promptly to facility related issues and requests, troubleshooting and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections and identify any areas requiring repair or improvement.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and work orders.

Requirements

  • Higher Nitec or Diploma in Facilities management or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Self-motivated, always striving to improve or meet a standard of excellence.
  • Able to communicate effectively and work in and as a team.
  • Confident managing contractors and liaising with customers for reporting and administrative work.
  • Proven work experience in maintenance operations, facilities management or similar roles.
  • Good knowledge of Excel (using formulas and creating spreadsheets), Words, Powerpoint and tools related to administration, reporting, and presentation.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities.
