The External Audit Manager role in EY's Financial Services Assurance practice leads audit engagements, develops client relationships, and drives business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Manage assurance engagements by defining audit strategy in consultation with senior manager/partner and executing it per EY policies
- Personally execute complex audit procedures and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements
- Lead projects and engagements profitably, ensuring efficient team performance
- Monitor assurance team progress against plan and adjust as needed
- Understand audit client's industry, performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical developments
- Stay informed of general business/economic developments impacting audit clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA Singapore qualification or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI, CPA Australia, CA ANZ, CICA, AICPA, CIMA)
- At least 5 years of audit experience in insurance, banking, or asset management industries
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to lead a team and develop business opportunities
- Knowledge of business trends and emerging technical developments in financial services
