  • We currently have career opportunity for a Manager to join our Valuation, Modelling & Economics team, focused on Financial Services sector, within EY-Parthenon We work across financial services sector (fintech, digital banking, traditional banking, insurtech and insurance, wealth & asset management) and operate in a broad range of disciplines including: M&A and fundraising valuation diligence Financial modelling for M&A and market entry (JV, greenfield, etc.) Valuation for financial reporting Financial modelling for FP&A (business forecasting and planning) Data analytics and visualization Other, bespoke model development Your key responsibilities Have a primary focus on valuation and financial modelling to deliver projects for financial service sector clients throughout Asia (fintech, digital banking, traditional banking, insurtech and insurance, wealth & asset management) Advise clients on M&A deals and strategic corporate finance issues Create and present insightful and compelling management presentations and valuation reports Use data analysis to address complex corporate finance and strategy problems Lead and be a part of project teams comprising of colleagues from different competencies (Strategy, Transaction Strategy Execution, Transaction Diligence, Business Consulting) Build strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers As part of your career development, you will: lead sales opportunities with senior team members and clients; lead preparing proposal documents; be supported in building client relationships at all levels.

  • Skills and attributes for success Strong valuation and financial modelling skills with proven ability to deliver business valuations and create robust and flexible financial models Commercial mindset Critical thinking, combined with strong numerical and analytical skills Strong interpersonal and communications skills Commitment, grit and ability to work in a fast-paced/ investment environment Managing, coaching and reviewing the work of junior staff members Developing and guide junior staff by providing timely, and effective performance feedback/training and help them achieve their career goals To qualify for the role, you must have A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science or Engineering International exhange experience during university or international working experience is a strong plus At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the fields of: valuation, financial modelling, corporate development, FP&A, preferably in a Big 4 or other large professional services organization Excellent knowledge of valuation methods and concepts (deal valuation - DCF, DDM, Residual Income, Market Approach; financial reporting valuation – PPA, intangible assets) Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to create fit for purpose financial models (e.g., cash flow, integrated financial statement, operational and decision support models) using best practice techniques and applying sound commercial judgment Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and understand financial statements Demonstrated capability or strong interest in using visualization software and managing data sets (PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.) A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a collaborative team environment Ideally, you also have Experience and interest in financial services sector (fintech, digital banking, traditional banking, insurtech and insurance, asset management) A proven record of excellence in a merger integration, acquisitions, divestitures CFA, FMVA, CAIA, CVA, BIDA, CPA Established networking skills in a relevant industry What we look for Highly motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry.
