About the role
AWS Data Center Design Engineering is looking for a Physical Security Architect to design and engineer low voltage security systems for data centers, working with cross-functional teams and ensuring security best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer low voltage security systems
- Using Blue Beam and other drafting technologies to work in collaboration with the design teams to produce designs in Revit/CAD
- Creation of specifications and scope of work documentation template for local project managers to use for vendor bids
- Provide technical and design support for local physical security teams
- Coordinating with all the other disciplines in the design process of a new building (architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, IT)
- Supervise and approve all designs deliverables developed by the local physical security team for projects at each milestones of a project. Analyze, accept or reject alternate designs and mitigation measure develop by the local physical security teams when the standard design can't be applied
Requirements
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
- 4+ years of commissioning experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
- Professional Engineer License
