Senior quota-carrying sales role focused on selling AWS data stack solutions (databases, analytics, storage, governance) to ASEAN enterprises. The specialist owns revenue targets, engages CXO-level buyers, and drives migration from legacy platforms like SQL Server and Oracle to AWS cloud data architectures.

Key Responsibilities
- Sell the platform. Position AWS as an integrated data foundation connecting operational databases, open lakehouse analytics, governance, and into the AI layer
- Drive growth. Execute SQL Server, Oracle, and analytics migration motions with structured plays, competitive positioning, and urgency
- Navigate competitive dynamics with third-party data platforms. Bring clarity to account teams on when to compete vs. collaborate
- Educate account teams on data messaging and competitive positioning. Partner with BD/GTM specialists and Solutions Architects to accelerate data opportunities within strategic customer segments and key accounts
- Meet or exceed annual revenue targets by building and managing pipeline
- Develop strategic customer relationships. Build trust-based relationships with senior technology and business leaders across ASEAN's most important accounts
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise commercial sales experience
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
- 3+ years of direct field sales experience across two or more of: databases, analytics, storage, data governance, or data platform solutions
- Technical fluency - able to whiteboard a modern data architecture, engage credibly with engineering teams, and translate business priorities into solution designs
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage CXO-level stakeholders
- Experience selling into ASEAN markets or comparable multi-country territories
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred)
- Experience selling data platforms, cloud databases, analytics, or data lake solutions (preferred)
- Familiarity with competitive landscape: Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Google BigQuery (preferred)
- Experience driving adoption of open-source data technologies (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, PostgreSQL) (preferred)
- Track record selling to C-level executives in ASEAN enterprise organizations, particularly CIO, CDO, and CTO (preferred)
- Experience working cross-functionally with Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, and Partner teams to land complex deals (preferred)
- Comfort operating in ambiguity - this role requires you to build the playbook, not just run it (preferred)
