About the role

Hands-on maintenance technician role at AWS data centers in Singapore responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of critical facility infrastructure including chillers, AHUs, UPS, generators, and fire systems. Position starts on a 12-month contract with potential for permanent conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment's, including but not limited to, chiller, air handling unit (AHU/CRAHU),fan coil unit (FCU), ventilation fan, split air conditioner (AC), pumps, leak detection systems, roller shutters, power distribution boards, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)batteries, and generators
  • Develop site specific documents including Maintenance checklist, EOP, SOP and RA
  • Service report preparation and submission for preventive and breakdown maintenance works
  • Ensure safe keeping of hand tools and maintain good housekeeping
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and/or in accordance with established standards, procedures & local legislation
  • Any other tasks, when required by the immediate manager

Requirements

  • Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)
  • Degree, Diploma, or NITEC certification in Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or any related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems commonly used in data center environments
  • Equipment experience includes (but is not limited to): Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHU/CRAHU), ACMV, Pumps, Leak detection systems, Roller shutters, Power distribution boards, UPS and batteries system, Generators
  • Data Center engineering or operations experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems, or computerized maintenance management systems
